I am a writer who lives in Dublin. I’m Slate‘s books columnist and a staff writer for The Millions. My stuff has been in The New York Times Magazine, The New York Times Book Review, The Observer, The Independent, The Irish Times, and The New Yorker‘s “Page-Turner” literary blog. My e-book Epic Fail: Bad Art, Viral Fame, and the History of the Worst Thing Ever was published by Byliner and The Millions in 2012. My literary criticism has been noted by the Westboro Baptist Church, who have assured me that my “path to Hell will be smooth and painless.”
